Sunday morning in Hanoi

It is that rarest of all days in Hanoi...you can almost see a bit of blue sky. Almost.

It's Sunday morning and I'm just settling in for a day of work in my room after a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake before it gets too humid. Amazing to see the changes in this neighbourhood since I was here last six months ago. Several new restaurants and shops replacing older, more local businesses. This is now very much a tourist part of town.

Last month Hanoi celebrated it's 1,000 year anniversary. Judging by the green slime in the lake, the water hasn't been changed in all that time.

Off to Ho Chi Minh City tomorrow later afternoon, then back here on Saturday for the week before going to Malaysia for a day of meetings, then home.
